Event Description:
We are excited to have support from iGames (www.igames.org) and offer a winter season for Modern Warfare 2 in 2010 exclusively at iGames member LAN centers. Kicking off the season on February 2nd with preseason play and then every Tuesday night following that for 5 more weeks.
Matches will be assigned once teams have been checked in by their local game center and teams will be able to play 3 matches each week for a maximum of 15 league games. Teams must have 10 matches played to qualify for one of the top 8 spots in the league and advance to the Invitational Championship Tournament on March 20, 2010.
By finishing in the top 8 during the league teams will receive not only just the top 8 seeds for the Invitational Championship Tournament but they will also receive a first round bye. The remaining 24 spots in the Invitational will be filled by teams from the Winter LAN event on March 13th, 2010.
$2500 for the Invitational Championship Tournament prize will be paid out as follows:
1st - $1000
2nd - $600
3rd - $400
4th - $300
5th - $200
