Event Description:
We are excited to kick of 2010 with a great partnership helping Get Well Gamers bring video game systems and games to children's hospitals. Many businesses and organizations are partnering with us to provide prizes and match donations to help reach our goal of raising $2500.
MLG Pro (http://www.mlgpro.com/teams/index) team AmazYn (http://www.facebook.com/zyngaming) will be participating and matching the first $500 of entry fees with a donation to Get Well Gamers.
This gamerscore competition will run from January 11th at 12:01 AM until January 31st at 11:59 PM. You may join as a group of 4 to form your own team. You may also join as a single player and you will be placed on a team with 3 other players. Teams and individuals will earn points by unlocking achievements on Xbox 360. Only points earned during the competition dates and from the eligible games listed below will count towards your team score.
Once you have registered and paid your donation fee of $10 (or more if you choose) you are entered into the competition. Players will either create their own team and invite 3 other members or they will be placed on teams with other individuals.
To score points you just play any of the games on the eligible list below during the 21 day competition and all unlocked Microsoft achievements will count as points for your individual and team score. The more achievement points you unlock the more points you will score.
The cost is only $40 for a team of four to join ($10 for each single player) and 100% of all entry fees will go to Get Well Gamers.

2nd Place Team - (4) Microsoft 4000 Point Cards
3rd Place Team - (4) Microsoft 1600 Point Cards
1st Place Individual (not on any winning team) - Microsoft 4000 Point Card
2nd Place Individual (not on any winning team) - 12 Month Xbox LIVE Subscription
3rd Place Individual (not on any winning team) - Microsoft 1600 Point Card

Event Settings:
If you are familiar with Xbox LIVE gamerscore achievements you will understand how the foundation of the system works. Players earn points for their team by unlocking achievements in the Xbox 360 system.
** Only points earned DURING the competition period will count towards the team score. Any points earned prior to the competition dates will not count. A player's starting gamerscore does not matter.
Only points earned on the following list of approved games will count toward your player and team score.
